Cristina Alva is a South Texas native who brings more than a decade of legal experience, strategic advocacy, and deep community roots to her immigration practice. Admitted to the Texas Bar in 2010, Cristina is committed to helping individuals and families navigate some of the most important and emotional legal decisions of their lives that includes but is not limited to immigration status, family unity, and long-term stability in the United States.
A cum laude graduate of Business from Texas A&M International University and the Thurgood Marshall School of Law, Cristina built her legal foundation as an Assistant District Attorney with the Webb and Zapata County District Attorney’s Office. In that role, she handled complex matters, developed a strong command of the law, and earned a reputation for preparation, integrity, and persistence. That experience now translates into meticulous case analysis, strong advocacy, and a readiness to confront challenging immigration issues head-on.
Cristina’s approach to immigration law is grounded in both strategy and compassion. She understands that immigration cases are never just paperwork, they involve families, futures, and the fear of separation. Her background in criminal defense, family law, and personal injury gives her a unique ability to evaluate cases holistically, identify risks early, and guide clients through complicated legal processes with clarity and confidence.
Clients appreciate Cristina’s ability to listen, explain complex legal concepts in plain language, and advocate fiercely when their futures are on the line. Her interpersonal skills foster trust and peace of mind, allowing clients to feel supported and informed at every stage of their case.
Cristina has been with Gonzalez Druker, PLLC since its inception and plays a key role in serving clients across the firm’s immigration practice. Her dedication, responsiveness, and relentless work ethic reflect the firm’s commitment to standing with clients during life-changing moments.
Beyond her legal practice, Cristina remains deeply involved in her community. She has served in leadership and service roles with local and nonprofit organizations focused on advocacy, youth, and family protection. Her commitment to service extends beyond the courtroom and into the community she calls home. Cristina Alva approaches every immigration case with the same core belief: every client deserves respect, honesty, and an advocate who will fight for them with skill and heart.
